The Leamington Camouflage Festival, Friends of the Pump Room Gardens and Leamington Looks Back have joined together to celebrate Leamington’s role as the HQ of camouflage in the Second World War by hosting a photography competition on the theme of camouflage in Leamington.
How the theme of camouflage in Leamington is interpreted is up to each individual – it can be camouflage in nature; camouflage in architecture, camouflage as demonstrated by people’s dress; camouflage where something is hiding within something else. Your interpretation is what the judges want to see!
The competition is open now, and entries should be emailed (JPG’s no larger than 3MB please) to firstname.lastname@example.org.
From the submitted entries, 10 finalists will be selected and exhibited at the Leamington Looks Back Creative Camouflage event to be held in the Pump Rooms on 27 August, where judging will take place. The exhibition prints will be provided by the sponsor of the competition – V2 Display Solutions.
The winner will be presented with a voucher kindly donated by the London Camera Exchange, Leamington.
The competition is open to everyone with a camera – of whatever age. And a shot taken with a camera phone is just as eligible to be submitted as a shot taken with a ‘proper’ camera. All entries welcomed and must be in by midnight Sunday 21st August.
